I've heard it both ways... A.) Don't write an episode of the show you want to work for and submit it to them. Write an episode of a similar show and submit it to the one you want to work for. If you want to work for "Law and Order," write a "CSI" script and submit it to "Law and Order." B.) That's no longer true, if you understand the format of the show and the voice of the characters, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, write whatever you want. If you want to work for "Law and Order", write a "Law and Order" script and submit it to "Law and Order." What are your thoughts, fellow screenwriters? Anyone out there have experience (good or bad) with one or the other?

A is right. though I wouldn't write Law and Order or CSI as both have been cancelled. haha
Thanks Danny, I was just using them as an example since they're similar subject matters and formats. :-)
