Screenwriting : Screenwriter, playwright, fiction author, and painter by Debbi Weitzell

I usually miss these "introduce yourself" weekends because my weekends are pretty full, and I don't do "work" work on Sundays. So maybe I'm getting in with a few minutes to spare this time. I've been a Stage 32-er for a long time, but not actively posting for a while. I'm trying to finish a novel, been doing contract writing, do public affairs work for my church, etc. Not much time on the screenplays lately. But I have some carved out for this year, so hopefully I'll be around more often. I've been writing about as long as I've been breathing, so I've been around the block a few times. Screenplay-wise, I've had one short produced, and a full-length made the semifinals for Creative World Awards. That one and others are in various stages of development. Lots of plays written and produced through community theaters and some church groups. All well received, and some produced multiple times. I've also directed and acted--several years of that. As I said, I'm finishing up a book--my third to be indy published. You can learn about the others at my website, http://debbi.weitzell.com. Some of my paintings are there, too. I've been working on developing that end of the spectrum in the past year. Another creative tangent. Looking forward to chatting with folks, especially those whose interests are in family-friendly material.
