For those that know the show, there is talk that Penny will put acting down (something she has been pursuing for 7 seasons) and get a shot to be a pharmaceutical rep at Bernadette’s company. I'm curious to hear your opinions on how this will effect the show, her character, as well as all of the other characters?

I've been thinking about that news and think that it will certainly upset the balance of the relationships. Her lack of success has always been a counterbalance to the success of the others. Similar to how Howard's success as an astronaut made him more of an equal to the others despite his lack of Doctorate. Hopefully they will use it to compare success between the academic and the business worlds. I'm also wondering how the loss of Howard's mother will affect his character.
