Using book cover artwork in a written pitch

Okay, here's a newbie question: should I include my book's cover art in my written pitch? Now before everyone here has a heart attack (artwork in a written pitch! Heresy!), let me explain. My script is YA and would work well for animation. My book's artwork is very professional and has gotten praise from readers--they say it really portrays the characters and the setting. If folks send out storyboards with their movie ideas, does it hurt or help to include a book cover in a written pitch? Curious??? Check out my book and its cover on Amazon: http://goo.gl/l4YJnK

I'd say, no. Perhaps that's something that's shown upon request. :)

Yup, "upon request" is the way to go. :)

Thanks to all for your feedback! Very helpful.

It really depends on the situation, but I've seen pitches bought on just a poster alone. I had some art for a pitch I did yesterday and I really wanted it to be up while I was pitching but didn't want it to be a distraction so I replaced my skype profile pic with the art. It was small, but during the Q&A the exec asked about it. I will send the script out with the art as the cover page to the script.
