Introduce Yourself : A shott story by David Chase

David Chase

A shott story

I've not done much with short stories - never really had a feel for them - but I had a free write from years ago that I thought might be worked up. After a dozen or so drafts and lots of edits and feedback from my writer group, "Wally Makes His Move" was accepted here: http://kristikingmorgan.weebly.com/featured-short-story.html Check it out. It's free, it doesn't take long, and you'll get a sense of how I write.

David, welcome to the community. Great short, you developed the characters very well, especially Jazzy and her father. Great talent!

Thank you. Take a look at my novel, GRANTS FERRY. You can read a sample here: http://www.amazon.com/Grants-Ferry-David-Chase/dp/1477538313/ref=sr_1_1?...

I loved the short story, but why is the title "shott" on this stage32 page?

David Chase

Must be a typo. I was so busy being clever I missed it. Damn.

Rachel Cann

don't you just hate picky people like me? I once taught in a 3room schoolhouse in Winchester New Hampshaire.

David Chase

It's people like you who keep the rest of us honest. About all I've ever done in Winchester is drive through it. I grew up in Brattleboro.
