Good morning, another splendid day of rain showers in the Midwest. I am a 49 year old, married father of 3. Recent grandfather of little Enoch. I am just and average Joe who's been working at the same manufacturing job for over 23 years. Pretty boring, I know. A couple of years ago my son and his best friend Joey began to show an interest in photography and film. They started with a bare bones Canon DSL and an idea. A year later they upgraded their equipment, came up with a name (Normandie Productions) and started tossing around ideas. With the help of family members and Kickstarter, they began shooting test footage a year ago. To make a long story even longer, they had some ideas and a plot but they wanted to gather a group together and film a 5 minute short. They asked me, knowing I wanted to be a part of their project, to come up with a story. I was hooked! We've been working on The Journalist for a year now, between school and jobs and finding actors in the middle of cornfield USA, we've shot a lot of footage. A love the process of researching and coming up with unique ideas. I have started writing several stories. I have no idea what I'm doing or if it will amount to anything. My latest? What started as a novel has began to lend itself to either a graphic novel or a series of comic books. I really think I have something, but I suppose everyone says that.
