Introduce Yourself : I guess about me? by Robert F. Peterson

Hi Everyone, I came across this website by way of a Reddit-er who said this is a good place to connect with tons of people spanning the globe all working toward the same goal and he was right. I love this site and everything it is doing for writers. I'm a late bloomer in terms of finding my craft. I always had the ability to write, it was effortless in a way that I can't describe but I could just write for hours and I got good grades in school. I've always enjoyed comedy, theater, movies, etc. but I never thought it would be a source of revenue - that's still to be seen, btw. Outside of family and friends, my network into the industry is small. I have a few friends who act and a friend who is a producer of film so the people willing to read my work objectively is small. I wrote my first pilot about a year ago and submitted it to a contest on here and made it to the semi-finals which was a huge thrill for me and really sparked a fire inside. I'm mostly a comedy writer - I am comedian/improvisor - but I do dabble in drama (3 comedy pilots/1 drama pilot/1 comedy screenplay/1 drama screenplay in progress) and am thinking of studying up on Sci-Fi as well. To make a long story short, I really love this site and the connections I've made. I would love to read anyone's work and would love to let anyone read mine. I'm looking to start acting too so any roles where you need a fat redhead - maybe you had Louis C.K. in mind? - I'm down for. Thanks for reading and please feel free to reach out. Robert F. Peterson
