Introduce Yourself : Hey there! by Vanessa Des Roches

I do written and audio interviews, depending on what the person want. If it's written, it will be translate on our french website. If it's audio, we will also put it on the french website but with a notice that it's going to be in english only. Anyone who works in the film industry I want to interview them, newcomers or "A" listers, everyone has a great and interesting story to tell no matter for how many years they were actors, directors, etc. If it's audio, I make sure that the person accept to be recorded, usually by Skype, and the recording will be put online the same day I do the interview. For the "how" to get an interview, until now it happen by Twitter conversation, but also by sending me an email at vanessa@warofthemovies.com.

Victor, the public libraries in Chicago have computers you can use for free. Talk with the Librarians, explaining that you need to do a professional interview via Skype, and see if they can't help you make that happen!

You’ll find everyone in here from wet-behind-the-ears newbies to grizzled old pros. I too review independent films for some of the West Coast film festivals and I promote local filmmakers. It would be nice to be able to connect some of them to you for a little wider exposure. I own my own production company and can tell you it does take dedication and time but it can be done. Vanessa, great concept! It would be interesting to see if, down the road, some of your interviews become the first interviews of future famous content creators. Looking at what you are doing in that way, I hope your plans are to do a French + English version. That would make the archived material more searchable when the future calls.

To answer to Lonie Nichols, yes one of the plans is to do a French + English version, of the interviews as well as the reviews. Right now we are working on the french website and the translation of what we had written so far. In the future, everything that will be written on the english website will also have a french version.

Hey Vanessa... maybe you can read my Bio and see if you want to interview me as well... I also just found out a week ago that I placed in the PAGE Awards as a finalist in the Quarter-finals... there's more to come but I'm thrilled because there were 6,200 entries... so I'm extremely proud... even if it doesn't go any further. I still win!!!
