Hi all! I'm an actor based out of Vancouver and I am relatively new to Stage 32. I am eager to create some projects with you, audition, run lines, read scripts, bounce off ideas, chat, anything like that. I live on an island west of Vancouver and there is no film community here. There are a lot of people who work in film and live on the island, but they are here to just enjoy the relaxation that the island has to offer. There is lots of community theatre here, but nothing in regards to film. In short, I'M STARVING!!! I need to connect with Film folk!! I spend a lot of time in Vancouver for training, auditions, and shoots. Commuting is not a problem. If you are looking for shooting locations on Salt Spring Island, I can help out with that. If there is anything I can do to help you with your project, wherever that may be, let me know. I'd love to help. I love the creativity and connection that comes from acting. I love how "acting touches nerves you have no control over." I love watching those " a ha!" moments unfold in not only my own work, but in the work of other actors. I love discovering new characters, finding out what makes them tick and riding that journey with them. The learning never stops, and for that I am grateful. That sounds wonderful. I don't produce at the moment but if I know someone I will reach out. I am an actor and do need people to run lines or read lines in scenes when I must put myself on tape. If you can ever help out just me know....Rosemary...living in LA

Welcome, Joanne. Oh, peace and quiet is what we big city writers need and you have it. l envy you, in a good way. I do love New York, my home, with all my heart and we do have it all here. Hey in the end is all good. Best of luck and know that we're here for each other.

Wow Nikolas! Do you live there now? That would be a lot of driving for auditions. Unless self taping is your friend!
My mom and I drive all the time. We are so use to it because we have been doing it for 11 years now. The only time we self tape is if it is for LA or NY or other places
How long of a drive is it Nikolas? One way? And do you have family you can stay with in Vancouver?
It takes my mom about 4hours one way. But most of the time if it is an audition we drive there and back in one day. When I am filming I have tons of family to stay with
Holy crap Nikolas! That makes for a long day! It's funny, I was on a shoot a few weeks ago talking with the other actors and they all said if they had to travel for acting as much as I do, they wouldn't do it. I guess it just shows how bad we want it and far we are willing to go to get it.
Exactly, and now I am heading down there next weekend for the Joey Awards.
I have been to auditions where parents would tell the casting assistant that they couldn't make it to the call backs because they were going to the Okanagan for a vacation and didn't want to drive back and forth. That's when my mom said that is what we do all the time. They all look at her like she was crazy for doing all that driving.
