Introduce Yourself : Media Psychologist & Writer by Jonny White

Hi friends, I'm on hold with my bank, browsing, and noticed my profile is only 75% complete. Clearly something must be done. So here I am. I'm a media psychologist. I've lived with one foot in stories my whole life and this has steered my other foot - the square in "reality" - surprisingly well. That is, I've made a bunch of stuff up based on my favourite stories and some of it has actually worked out (2 web startups, enough studies and papers to get me 5 degrees, a documentary on NBC/Universal). I've also managed Robert McKee's company, done story work for pharma and healthcare, and bicycled Africa top to bottom (that was the documentary). I'm still young and working away on my own first screenplay and first nonfiction whilst teaching storytelling to grad students. I live on the Central Coast of California, I kitesurf, and I swear I'm much more modest in person. In the long run I'd love to have people come to me with the world's toughest story story problems, work on those for fun/money/fun-money, and write on the side. My slightly more modest short term aspirations involve having my Stage32 profile show 100% complete. Come to Papa...
