Introduce Yourself : Voiceover, On-Camera and Producer by Scott J. Smith

Voiceover, On-Camera and Producer

Since we last met, I have continued to be involved in the fan-produced web series "Star Trek Anthology." This weekend, we're shooting scenes that will introduce the series in marketing efforts, as well as act as the prologue to the pilot episode. Labor Day weekend, we present our concepts to fans at a science fiction and pop culture convention in Ticonderoga, New York. (As a side note, I've "scribbled a few notes down" and presented story ideas to the chief executive producer, and have since begun developing full scripts for each. I find myself "in the creative zone" if you will, of all places, when mowing the lawn...a task I despise. My mind will wander, then I find myself with a few more pages of dialogue, or character traits, or a plot device. Then, it's back into the heat and humidity for some more drudgery.) I have completed one audiobook, which the rights holder has yet to release. A second is still in the editing process. I've had a few setbacks...some personal and some technical, but anticipate being able to complete that book within the month. Over the summer, I participated in the 48 Hour Film Project, which gave me another chance to work on screen with a few good friends. I have also recently been offered a role in a feature film that shoots this Fall. For now, that is all I can say (you understand).

Very cool. I met another guy on here, AJ, who just did the 48 hour festival as well. Very cool. Congrats on your progress.

Thanks. Those projects are great fun. Teaches you to think on your feet, push yourself, innovate, improvise.
