Hi everyone! I'm James Kicklighter, born and raised in Bellville, GA, population 123, where I spent the first eighteen years of my life imagining the world beyond our town's mile square border. But while I was there, I learned a lot about the importance of community and respecting your fellow citizen, values I carry with me everywhere. These days, I live in Los Angeles as a writer/director. I have spent the past ten years working around the world creating narrative, documentary and corporate films. I've picked up a lot of good habits, shook some bad ones, and learned a lot along the way. I'll be sharing a lot more about my experiences in the Short Film Master Class I'm teaching for Stage 32 at the end of the month. You can learn about some of those on my profile, where I've posted a myriad of films, video, pictures and even a short script, so we can have some things to discuss. I hope you'll join me on my profile and in class, but in the meantime, I hope to get to know you better here. Cheers, James

Hi James! Your credits are really impressive and it does me proud to see a fellow Georgian doing so well. I spent the first 17 years of my life living on a farm outside of Scott GA (I always reference Dublin GA since Scott is so small), watching movies and dreaming about seeing the world. I've travelled now and seen a great deal of the world and recently completed my first film. Really looking forward to your master class and hope to connect soon.
Thank you so much, Angela! I grew up in Bellville and people often say they're from Claxton or Statesboro, so I totally know what you're talking about. I look forward to seeing you in class!
Living in Los Angeles, I would totally agree with that Alessandra. Thanks and ditto!
