Introduce Yourself : Heya! by Kevin Scott Finkbeiner

Hey, fellow filmmakers! My name is Kevin; I am a freelance video editor and aspiring crew member located in Orange County, California. Ever since I could remember, movies have fascinated me, especially what occurs behind the camera's lens. After consuming the behind-the-scenes featurettes on any DVD I had (all thanks to my Star Wars Episode III DVD), my interest in film production grew even more, as well as my desire to be a part of that team and that world. So far, I've only had a few experiences on professional sets outside of the film school realm, but those tantalizing experiences have left me wanting more opportunities, so I've been on the lookout for set work. Video editing is also my other passion. There's just something fun and challenging about intricately piecing numerous takes of raw footage, using your eyes and ears to pick out the smallest details to make the best cuts you possibly can. There's always new tricks and techniques I learn every time I go into the NLE and cut a project. Writing and storytelling is also big for me. Got a few screenplays, short and feature-length, on the backburner there. Long story short (I know I've been rambling), but it's good to be a part of Stage32, and I'm excited to meet fellow filmmakers and make lasting connections! Thanks for reading.
