What's "Boeing Boeing" about Holly? I lived in Seattle's Lower Queen Anne back in 1997-8... and worked for Hughes Aircraft... which is now owned by Boeing down in LA from 1992-5.

I also worked for Hughes Aircraft in Culver City that was bought by Raytheon were they built the headquarters in El Segundo. I was a contract negotiator, Secret Clearance, in the High Energy Laser Division. ( White Light and Green based Laser Technology. ( 1981 ) I incorporated the Laser Technology in a Story/Script that I have written titled the " Void Trilogy " adapted from the Frank Herbert book " Destination:Void " and the Bill Ransom and Frank Herbert book the " Jesus Incident ". I am seeking a Producer to submit to an Executive Producer that I am in contact with. Please Google: Tony Ginn for Profile and if you have an interest, feel free to contact me at 253-565-2482. Member of Sag-Aftra since 1978.

Hey Brian, "Boeing Boeing" is a farce (fast paced comedy with lots of doors) about a man living in Paris in the1960s who has 3 fiancés that don't know about each other. They all fly on different airlines - Gloria in TWA, Gretchen on Lufthansa, and Gabriella (me) on Alitalia. The timetables keep Bernard safe from the women finding out about each other. His friend visits from America and suddenly all the women are put on faster jet planes. And the comedy of the men desperately trying to prevent the women from learning about each other when they are all showing up at the same time makes for some zany comedy.

@Anthony, I read Jesus Incident by Herbert/Ransom in 1998... not nearly as good as the DUNE series. @Holly, Sounds like a really fun play... guys trying to juggle, a "when it rains it pours" scenario with the babes... and karma's eventual need to have all meet each other at once at the worst possible time... one of those "all men are dogs" types of trying to "have your cake and eat it too" romps. Bet you're having a blast Holly. :-D

Tony Ginn

I agree. However, the " Void Trilogy " Storyline is an Alien ( Dorex-Depicted as the Devil ) ) who has traveled to Earth through the Void ( Black Hole ), and has traveled from Tau Ceti, with reverse magnetism, many times to rob the Earth of babies and only take Type O humans to create another race. The first episode came out of my head with some interesting use of technology and Alien research via PBS and NASA incorporated into the script. Episode 2 is based on the Frank Herbert book Destination:Void where Dorex tries once again and fails and escapes back to Tau Ceti, his base, where Jason and crew in suspended animation chasing Dorex to kill him! I met Frank Herbert in 1973 in Port Townsend,WA and he autographed the first Dune book. Laser weaponry in the War to save the Universe is Green based and White light laser technology I learned at Raytheon when I was a contract negotiator in the High Energy Laser Division.

Yes it is a "hoot" as my grandmother would've said. In true comedic fashion, it all works out in the end. Even with a dash of "turnabout it fair play" in the end. We play for two more weekends. And this is a show where it is so much fun, it is "play".

Brian Shell

@Holly... your "turnabout is fair play" line reminds me that your play has shades of the ending of the film 9 to 5... @Anthony... I've been to Port Townsend a few times... must of been too cool to meet Frank Herbert in person... him and Robert Pirsig are my favorite authors (Pirsig wrote Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and its insightful sequel Lila)

Brian Shell

Love the term "hoot" btw Holly... just sayin'... :-)

Holly Rose

Not quite like 9 to 5... but "fair" in the farce world. It's worth seeing. Our stage manager informed us we added 11 minutes to the run time from preview to opening. That's how many laughs were getting. Yay! We're at Tacoma Little Theatre through Oct 4.

Brian Shell

As a former Seattle-lite Holly, who set one of my screenplay scenes in Tacoma, you really make me want to see it... and I don't see many stage plays... so I guess that's sayin' somethin'-somethin' :-)

Holly Rose

Well Brian, if you are near. .. we play today at 2pm and next weekend Thurs-Sun at 730 and sun at 2pm. We close on Oct 4. If you can make it, be sure to say hi after.

Richard "RB" Botto
