How we developed an IP. From a screenplay all the way to the Big Distribution.

Hi guys, Not that much time ago our independent animation feature made its way to one of the biggest Los Angeles based distributors. It took 2 years from a rough idea to the final cut, and another year to prepare the project for distribution. Today I was browsing Animation World Network(one of the biggest entertainment portal on animation) and I accidentally bumped into the announcement of our project http://www.awn.com/news/splash-entertainment-bringing-tellur-aliens-feat... When I saw that, I understood that the distribution has started. Quite exciting feeling I have to say. So it has been almost 3.5 years since the startup. A long way full of challenges and pain. I learned hell a lot of things though. I would like to share some of the tips&tricks in starting an IP which will make its way to the big market.
