So it was so much fun to go to L.A. and meet the Stage 32 Happy Writers staff. We hung out and listened to music and ate awesome sweet potato fries. We also got some business done. I met with two managers, an agent, and execs from a variety of companies. What I learned is that it was fortunate I had several different projects to talk about and not just the one screenplay. I also learned there's a window of time in December when you might sell a pilot. That was exciting. One of the developer/managers gave me great insight on financing films and how to sell a mid-range budget film (get someone attached!). Bottom line: the trip was life changing.
