Greetings everyone! My name is Geoffrey Young Haney and I'm a writer and filmmaker from Michigan currently residing in Austin TX. Looking to connect and meet fellow craftsmen here on the site. I'm passionate about storytelling with a flare for genre fiction (specifically of the "speculative" variety) and I've got more ideas in my head than I know what to do with. Last year I started Book of Matches Media which is a publishing and story production house, and we began work on our first feature - an sci-fi anthology film called Impressions. But when my home state of MI bailed on the film incentive program, work there dried up real quick (the industry didn't have much of a chance to get settled as it was) and so did our prospects for our current production. (Never fear, though, we carry on, and I've been writing more than ever since production ended back in June.) Wanting to work primarily in TV and feature films, I needed to head somewhere where those things were actually being made lol. LA is cool, but a bit far from home for me. I left a gorgeous and supportive wife and 3 of the most amazing kids on the planet behind in MI to pursue this leg of my vocation. And I have friends to stay with in Austin. And its Austin! Hey Jeffrey, Thank you for the connection. I have been in the gaming industry over 17 years. I am also in the music and film industry. I promote, manage and schedule concerts and events.
