The Third Great Independent Revolution

It was Francis Ford Coppola, as quoted in his wife's documentary on his rambling production of "Apocalypse Now", who envisioned a teenage girl being able to produce a noteworthy cinematic production with the aid of technology that would soon be on the horizon. So here we all find ourselves with the tools but too often becoming so engrossed by the wonder of the visual possibilities that they do offer almost anyone who takes them up to sketch out their own personal vision. But somehow loses the most basic component of the foundation entire process in terms of a solid story. Considering the ill fortunes of the major studios as of late seemingly falling victim to the immediacy and easy availability of Internet distributed Indie productions, the future belongs to those who can create a synthesis for unique tales combined by now accessible high production values. I along with many am daily challenged to use my knowledge of the various techniques now available at grass roots level and find the means produce stories that would have been impossible without major budget Hollywood studio participation. I hope to find others to collaborate with in this journey.
