I would get more looks to ensure the script is as strong as it can be going into production. I think of projects like magnets. If the magnet is strong enough, it will attract a team. Is your magnet as strong as it can be?

Thank you Shawn. I have spent over a year on HSM. It started as 847 pages in (10) memo pads. Than went to loose leaf binder of 237 pages. Than went to a Celtx program of 140 pages.. Now converted from a shooting script to a spec script it is a tight 115 pages. I will still be tweaking. And of course once I hear it out loud in the full table read sometime this Spring I am sure there will be some more changes. Actors have input and I am of the Woody Allen school of writing/directing. I am also the third generation of a New York Show Business family of Actors, Musicians, Producers and Directors. So I understand that it has to be a killer script. Or as you said in your metaphor "a highly charged MAGNETIC field". I am also 63 years old. So even though I did spend most of my business life before writing screenplays, writing advertising copy. I have a good understanding of what it takes to get something done. I have allot to learn about making movies. That I do know. I also know that when the script is finished the way I like it the job of making it into a film has only just begun. The one thing I have going for me above everything else is my persistance. I can take rejection. I can hear No. And still not be discouraged. Let me end with this. Because I do feel that I am rambling and every body has different tastes. And not everybody will enjoy my style of writing. I am not looking for a tent pole picture. I am looking to make a film with a great story and compelling characters that strike an emotional chord with an audience. Can HSM be better? Of course. But I will leave you with this quote that might sum up what I am trying to say in response to your initial comment about if it is production ready. "NO GREAT WORK OF ART IS EVER FINISHED, IT IS ONLY ABANDONED---MICHAELANGELO.

Is your budget low enough to consider crowd funding?

Darryl- Tried that already on Indiegogo. As a matter of fact I met John Trigonis, Head Film Strategist @ Indiegogo last year at the crowdsourcing/crowdfunding panel that was set up at Tribeca by him, RB & Jenn Mello(Film Interchange). My budget can be considered low by Hollywood standards. But I have to explore other options for now. I am reading "Bankroll-- by Tim Malloy "How to finance your independent film". I think my next step is to put together a standard film budget with above the line and below the line costs and then when I do finally(hopefully) find that angel investor I have some concrete numbers to show.
