Bode: It is largely about face-to-face relationships in the entertainment industry---in L.A. and in NYC. While it is not impossible to succeed from distant places not in the show business vortex, it is less easy to do. Start by seeking connections with those in the industry with the power to and interest in helping you, Bode. I am not one of those...yet.

Hi John, I'm a passionate writer hoping and trying endlessly hard to either have one of my screenplays made to a movie and distributed etc. I've had several sad experiences writing as Co-writers with guys who made fat promises and once I had their scripts ready, they went off and never came back. Howdy, John! So, my son is an actor and PA living in Simi Valley, CA. He's just gotten himself a car and would love to start working his pattootie off! He's an excellent PA but has worked on still photo shoots only, so far. He wants, though, to get into film, as a PA, actor, producer and, eventually, director. Hello, Mr. Charnay. Foremost, thank you for offering those of us who are new to the business. There is so much to learn and do, at times I feel way over my head. I have written several books that have done fairly well on Amazon and I've gained a small following. I am just starting the idea of putting one of my book series, Assumptions, into a movie or TV series.
