A couple years ago one of my acting coaches had me approach random strangers in different stores and ask them what type of movie they could see me in and what character they could imagine me playing. It was an amazing exercise. I'd love to do that here and get an even larger amount of feedback, especially now that my look/type may have changed. Over the next several days I'll be posting different headshots and pictures and I would love your feedback! Feel free to post your pictures in here too for feedback.
I would like to comment my casting choice in one of my materials, however, not legal if I'm not mistaken. How about something like in The Breakfast Club?
What do you mean by that Ronnie? ^
Who would you cast her as?

I'd probably cast her as the brain guy as a girl or Ally Sheedy. Great parts.
Hi Lauren, Re casting you as - if I was a casting director looking for that age range I would not go too much by the photo they could be very deceiving. If they have nothing on film I would ask to see them and have them read for me. From that reading I would be able to tell the quality of the person and the talent. The talent would be what I would be looking for. It all hinges on talent. PS what part would you fit? Almost any part in that age range.
John I understand what you are saying but the headshot has to catch the Casting Director's eye and show them that this actor could be the character, unless the casting director is already familiar with the actor and their work. What age range do you mean?

Lt. Commander Shepard "Life Boat Mars" The great grand daughter of Alan Shepard(The first American Astronaut in Space May 5, 1961).
Who would you cast her as?
Dear Lauren McKean:
Below are my comments for the pictures:
Blue top picture:
First thing that came to mind is a Lifetime or Hallmark type of story; especially the look in your eyes. The picture shows a very down to earth, girl next door type, yet within the eyes there is a yearning for maybe something more or a life of hidden sadness.

Hair over left shoulder with jacket:
Another picture that initially seems fairly innocent, but when you look at the eyes, it is telling a different story. Maybe a character that appears sweet and innocent, but when you look within, through the eyes of the soul, lies a more sinister and mischievous side.

Laughing, holding hair:
Displays a fun, supporting friend type character. Though, strong enough to be the main character type. Like a Phoebe from Friends. Those are the comments I got from the pictures.
Sincerely,
John German
Thanks John that's great feedback!
Dear Lauren McKean:
You are welcome. Keep up the good work, and let your passion continue to be an inspiration for others as well as to those who are looking to cast the parts you would be a perfect fit for.
Sincerely,
John German

That's a cool thread, Lauren. I'd say I see you in British or French historical movie. Something mid age, maybe King Arthur, also the story of Mariana (but I think that is still in pre-production) or kind of time travel stories like "Timeline".
Thanks Elisabeth! Historical pieces are some of my absolute favorites. I don't think I've heard of the story of Mariana. What's that one about?

Hey ! First thank you for your invitation :) regarding your question, you make me think of a french movie "Le renard et l'enfant" (litterally "the fox and the kid") in which a young girl (much younger than you) met a fox in the forest one day, and this film is all about the friendship slowly building up between those two. Beautiful movie. Anyway all this to say that I see you playing a very mysterious girl (maybe even deaf) but who would know a lot of things, maybe even secrets... I see you playing in a thriller ^^'
Interesting Marianne! I would love to play a character with a physical difficulty like deafness. That would be such a cool story to be part of. Thanks for the feedback.
You'r beautiful and different! I could see you in historical or contemporary mystery series. But then you know that casting directors always have surprises up their sleeves :-)
Thanks Victor. Maybe BBC's Sherlock? :D
