Introduce Yourself : Older...wiser? by Gary A. Piazza

Older...wiser?

It's amazing how you evolve as an artist. I'm new to Stage 32 but I see budding talent, old salts and folks trying to make a mark in the world of visual arts. I'm looking forward to connecting with many of you and perhaps someday we can make great art together! Sometimes in this business you're up, and sometimes the up part disappears pretty quickly. My agent and I were having great success at Universal with one of my scripts. It received a six page script coverage and a recommendation stamp and then things fell apart. The executive in charge left Universal and my work became lost in the fog. A month later, my agent announced their closure. Needless to say, I took a break from the full-time writing and focused on career (another field) and photography/videography...my roots. I returned to my writing last year and I'm having new success at the moment, once again receiving great reviews and making new connections. I would love to option my work but the older I get, the more I may want to have my hands in the production itself, especially since I'm no stranger to directing, producing and wearing the many hats an independent filmmaker wears. It's all in the bio, I've posted quite a bit of information there and if you have time, take a peak. Maybe we can open doors for each other. For now, here is a little video I put together with a combination of b-roll footage and stock footage I had leftover from a music video shoot. No 4k here, only 1080p.
