Here goes again...

Hi, I'm Jordan Paree. I'm currently on a mission to be a film director. I've already written the screenplay that'll be used for my first feature, but I need some help in finding out how to put it all together. If anyone can offer some advice, that would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Larry DeGala

which A-list actor is attached?

Jordan Paree

There really isn't anyone attached. It's barely gone through the green light phase. I've thought about showing it to a couple of actors that I know personally, but I don't know if that'll be enough.

Regina Lee

Would you please clarify who is greenlighting the movie? If the movie is being greenlighted, the financier should be taking a lot of ownership over the process. It's their money on the line.

Dan MaxXx

Greenlight = credit cards ?

Jordan Paree

You're absolutely correct about that, Regina. Truth be told, no one is green lighting it. I haven't shown it to anyone yet. I should've been more specific. I apologize. I guess what I'm saying is I want to meet someone face to face here in AZ about what I should do. I've gotten a few ideas, but I need someone to help me really get things started. Auditions, casting, crew members, financing, etc.

Dan MaxXx

Jordan serious advice. aim smaller. shoot a short movie and gain experience working with Crew and Talent. A feature film requires you to be mentally & physically ready for 17+hrs work days/nights x 6 days a week x however long your feature schedule breaks down.

Jordan Paree

Alright, I'll do that. Thanks.

Lynne Forde

@ Dan MaxXx good advice

Jordan Paree

I've been on a five-day shoot for a short film. I know what it's like. But I'm definitely taking Dan MaxXx's advice.

Larry DeGala

my last feature length was 23 days of principal photography. figure 5 pages per day. six locations total.

If you need advice on how to direct your own written film? You are in the wrong business. What do you mean by, "need some help in finding out HOW TO PUT IT ALL TOGETHER.." What does that even cover, when you say ALL? Start SMALL, like Dan MaxXX said. One, two actors, one location, a smartphone. Action! Upload to YouTube for feedback. Later on take classes on Directing/acting/producing. One step at a time. I would stick to one or two.Good luck.
