How do I get my screenplays into the hands of producers, managers, and agents?
I submit my scripts to screenplay competitions. At one point, I emailed production companies. For experience, I take acting classes, I made a short film, and I train in three martial arts. What else can I do?
Hey Alicia sounds like you are doing the right things... check out the aticles I wrote on the subject for some other ideas - www.anthonycawood.co.uk/articles
You might try picking up the phone and calling people to see if you can send them a log line and a synopsis first so you have a name to send your letter to. FWIW it is a lot easier to delete an email than it is to say no to a person on the phone. One thing I did that was a little different and that was to attach known film directors to some of my screenplays. That paid off more than any other thing I have done. Good luck!
Like @Aray said, register for a pitch session here at Stage 32. BEST thing I could have done for myself. You learn how to pitch, how to improve your writing, and you meet some peeps. At least that's my 2 cents. Good luck. :)

Win a writing contest, Submit a script eval to Black List, drop $$$ on stage 32's paid services, and move to Los Angeles.

If you have time or interest, please check out a post I wrote about relationship-building. In one of the follow-up posts, I give some examples of better-than-average emails. And try to enjoy the process! https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting/Create-a-Win-Win-Exec-Etiqu...

Networking, e-query letters, cold calls.... just keep doing it until something happens. The martial arts may come in handy when you get bad notes...
A catchy log line and Pitch always help. ( keep it simple and direct)
