Welcome! Make sure you browse around. A lot of useful tools on Stage 32. Don´t wait for things to happen, make them happen! Personally, check out the educational parts of Stage 32, since you´re a newbie as you say it :) Self-awereness... I like that :)
I was just thinking about this today, whether you're a baby writer or veteran..set goals for the year. Define your success by achieving those goals not by queries or competitions. Make a list. Check it twice and keep on moving along. Hollywood is there and it's not going to suddenly disappear. One more point to make, don't sling your scripts out there if you know in your being that it's just not there yet. Watch yourself and set a budget on what you can afford for services such as consulting and pitches. Do your research on these prospective reps and producers you're pitching to. Make sure you know ahead of time if they rep T.V. Or features and if they're producers you're going after, check what films the company has produced and what genre. Hope that helps.
Ant, if you think ur screenplay is ready, I highly, highly, highly(did I say highly?) suggest you try at least ONE of the Pitch Sessions. They are a little costly, but it helps improve your chops as far as "selling" your idea and yourself! Thanks for the add, my friend! God bless and good luck!!
Then I recommend you use a screenplay reading service and get some feedback. It's kind of expensive, but it may be worth it. I will tell you that the more people who read it, the more different types of criticism you will get and it can drive you crazy. But I find that certain criticisms will ring TRUE to you, and that might help you find what's missing.
Hi Antuan. You could also post your logline and/or script on your Stage 32 profile page. Viewers may leave comments, etc. Perhaps also check out "On Stage with RB" found under "Education." It's a monthly free webinar with our CEO, Richard "RB" Botto. He often gives tips about how to use the site, features guests and shares insights about the industry. All are available on-demand as well: https://www.stage32.com/webinars/on-stage-with-rb. I hope that helps, and welcome to Stage 32! :)
Thanks Beth! I was in on the webinar yesterday and I took some notes that I'll put to good use. And I'll check out some of the pass content as well. RB its the man! And thank you for the advise. You are the woman!
Haha! You're welcome, Antuan. :) I see you already posted a logline, that's great! Plus you've received some comments, fantastic! After a quick look I would suggest to keep working that logline. Just keep going—loglines are tough to write! Perhaps this may be helpful... here's Christopher Lockhart's pdf article about how to construct a logline: http://www.twoadverbs.com/logline.pdf. Enjoy and best to you!

It's "finished." I know that it's missing something. I just don't know what that is Jaime?
Thank you for accepting Aray!
