Your Stage : My YA Sci-Fi Novel is getting Published!!! by Katherine Blakeney

I wanted to post this in the new Authoring & Playwriting Lounge, but as I was going to include links I thought it might be flagged as promotional. I've been a Stage32er for a couple of years and have primarily been sharing my stop motion animation work. However, I am also an author and now I can finally share a sucess story from my writing career. My Young Adult Science Fiction Novel, Digging in the Stars will be available from Blaze Publishing March 28, 2017! Diggining in the Stars is the story of a group of teen archaeologists who travel to a distant planet in search of an abducted friend and discover a legendary lost civilisation. It's deeply informed by my own work in Egyptian archaeology, my love of ancient history and my work in film. As an animator, I actually created all of my characters and creatures as minitaure models and used a lot of visual references for my descriptions, so it's almost a mixed-media project.
