Just curious...are there any acting opportunities in AZ? This probably sounds like a dumb question, but I would sincerely like to know if there are actors doing well in AZ?
Jocelyne, I live in Arizona and have found jobs more difficult to come by within the last couple of years. Right now I'm just getting commercials to build up my resume and then I am going to relocate. Unfortunately Arizona does not have any sort of film incentives anymore so there is not much filming which is a shame because it's a beautiful state.
Thank you very much for letting me know. That sounds really unfortunate::/. Do you think it would have made it difficult to travel to California for acting jobs while living in Arizona ? Is it a rarity for theater as well?
Arizona does have a good theater community if you live in the Phoenix area. Durant.com is a good website to check out for projects and auditions and it's completely free. If you are just starting out then theater would be the way to go. I live about 6 hours away from LA and haven't gotten an audition in California yet but I'm still working to get one.
Thank you! Well I wish you the best of luck, especially with relocating. I was planning on moving to Arizona for financial reasons, but I didn't want to make the move without knowing whether or not there was acting opportunity there.
