Steps to collaborate

Does anyone know the steps as to how to collaborate with a theater to get your productions to go live in there facility.

$$$$$ Fund the project yourself: hire their stage director, rent their space, advertise, cast, rehearse & perform.

Shane Steinman

Do your research on the theatre and its director(s) or manager(s). Bring them a project they can’t resist. And money helps, as Dan said, but it’s not impossible to do it without spending your own. Try a small ‘ask’ first: maybe like use of the space, just for an hour or two, so your actors can get a sense of how it will feel to deliver their lines on a real stage. Make no promises that could later be construed as misleading. And good luck!

I'm trying to collaborate with the use of space also give a portion of funds to facility instead of rental. That way they can see more funds come there way then a rental of facility. Also we are looking into getting someone organizations involved to sponsor since the play is about minority youth incarceration prevention. We are also working on another one for the summer which is about same sex domestic violence and abuse and we are hopeful it will be able to be put on in the same facility. We do know this Productions will be bringing a different diaspora of people to the facility. It will also be heavily promoted. If possible I would like to make the trailer at the facility for authenticity.

Dan I'm already in the process of casting in December, doing a book store reading of the play in January/February, if they have a director I would love to bring them on board.
