Happy New Year from this corner of the world!

Hello Stage 32, creatives, everyone, happy new year! One year ago at this time, it was my first days here. I was desperately looking for an agent with only one script in my pocket. Funny. I've gone asking around for help several times, 281 times in one month and mostly got rejected from production companies, or got no respond at all. It hurt but I didn't stop. I guess that's when you find out what is really your goal and dream, something that you never give up on it. I kept trying to prove myself, studying screenwriting skills and as many great scripts as I could find on web. I was a good storyteller and I had to become a good screenwriter too. Maybe even a director. Locked myself in my room, writing and writing without getting tired. One year has passed, it's a long time. Now I'm here with so many new things. An archive of untold stories and great ideas. Author, screenwriter, things like these are not easy to master and there is still a long way there. A new year is up ahead, full of new opportunities. They keep telling me that I must get an agent and discuss my career and forward goals with but I think there's still time to become better. Agents can wait. I still need to learn more. So let's get our wings first, then we'll talk about the destination. It's a journey to set on. Let's start now and step into a new and greater year together. Wish you the most successful year ahead. Happy New Year's Eve!!!

Sounds as if you've made significant progress toward your goals over the last year, Allen. Remember, this is a long game and as long as you're chopping wood every single day, you're going to have growth. Here's to making more headway in 17, my friend.

Allen R. Nelson

Yes it is. Yes it will!

Allen: RB is right, keep writing everyday. You finish a story move on to the next one as soon as possible. I learned this from our very own RB , soon after joining S32 and just heard the same advice from our very own LEE JESSUP in a Film Courage interview on YouTube title, "Road to Failure For a Screenwriter" and she said , " the only failure in screenwriter is, a, not writing.." Agree 100%. Thanks Lee.

Allen R. Nelson

Absolutely. I can't imagine a day without writing. I'm desperate. Thanks for the inspiration!

Richard "RB" Botto

Thanks for the props, Jorge!
