I just completed my first Screenplay. About 2 years in the making, but the past couple of months really went full speed ahead. Screenplay about a gay couple and their families. Based on my life and my husband and our eccentric upbringings. In search of an LGBT TV Pilot Literary Agent in the Los Angeles market.

Congratulations on your accomplishment!

Don't look for an agent until you've had coverage done. Almost no one sells their first script.

you can also pitch it to LOGO or HERE TV. they are pretty accessible.

You didn't mention what those two years entail, but the normal advice applies. Make sure it's polished and professionally reviewed before you start pounding the pavement.

Stephen Foster, thanks a bunch for that. I was thinking those two venues would fit my material. Sterling

Ed Fletcher, thanks for the advice. Those two years compiled outline, compilation of ideas, research of screenplay structure and order, and polishing. However, currently working on the 'professionally reviewed/coverage' part before I re-submit. I think I was a bit overambitious in pitching, and now I'm taking my work and polishing again before submitting for coverage/professional review. Thanks again! Sterling

There are expectations, but most of the time it's the eighth screenplay that gets traction.

Love to hear "gettin' pro coverage!" Accessing your level of story craft. That's what's up

What ever happens, just keep writing, Sterling, so when they ask, "what are you working on now?" you are prepared with an answer, but please don't say "on a sequel to my first screenplay. Good luck, buddy.
