I'm a comedy writer checking in from Pennsylvania. After almost a year working on other projects, I finally stopped neglecting my own half hour comedy and finished it! Now it's probably on to another spec.
...Sir..I am a writer-Actor with 02 short film subtitled in Hindi for US production companies. and 01 produced script here in India...let me know if any assitance require in any way ...I look forward seeing your success...
Hi Chris and welcome. I joined a couple of months ago and quickly met some very helpful people. I have tried my amateur hand at a couple of comedies so I'd be interested in reading any scripts you post.
Hey C Harris. I have a completed "Veep" spec and I just finished an original pilot. I'm in "waiting" mode on a couple other projects (ie. I'm looking to write something new :)). I thought about writing an "Imaginary Mary" or "Better Things" spec. What are you working on? I see you're a stand up. I've done a few open mics, and would love to develop an act myself.
Work on that! :D It's harder than it seems. I certainly don't have an act, but I have written material for some (just never followed-through on it). I am shopping an original pilot, and working on a studio IP project. I also wrote an ep of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for the WB contest. I haven't entered it just yet due to technical issues, but I'll have to soon! :D
Yeah, stand up is tough. I haven't done it in about 6 months, but it went OK. I haven't submitted to any fellowships/contests this year. I co-wrote a pilot with some actors and we had a producer and production co interest about a month ago. I thought I found my golden ticket! Sadly, nothing has happened yet. Back to the drawing board I suppose. Anyhow, keep me posted on how your projects pan out. If you ever wanna swap notes, hit me up.

Funny how easy it is to get side-tracked from your own projects.

Thanks guys! Yes, it feels good to finish my own stuff. Now the question is, what spec should I write?!

What specs do you have in progress, or are considering? How far along are you with any of them?

I haven't pursued one because I don't live in LA. Do you have any recommendations on who to contact?
