Stage 32 is the only on line community I have found where serious people sharing ideas. I have noticed recently that more and more people are attracted to the site and you can have a presence here so people can see your face and get a feel for who you are (for better or ill!). I have used the Happy Writers Pitching Service and believe this is a valid avenue for Pitching Real Working Executives. Hope that helps!

Welcome home, Melinda. What I can add to the conversation is you will find everyone on here are dedicated to improving the craft that we all, love. You have veteran writers and those new to the craft all here still asking questions to help learn, inform, encourage, and inspire. Like Michael said, ask questions, share ideas, soak up constructive positive feedback, then pay it forward.

I think you have the right approach, even if your main goal is to be a screenwriter, by learning the other skills, you'll get on a crew faster. It appears to me that screenwriters aren't highly valued.
