I find the amount of non-participating members on Stage 32 amazing. You can only benefit from this platform by making it a companion to your IMDB Pro account, LinkedIn, your social media facilities, and your website. Get here at least 3 times a week and CONNECT!

For better or worse, it's human nature - most people won't participate. I don't worry about it, but try to stay involved with those who stay involved. Joe - network request sent! :)
John...yes, I agree. But this business requires - nay... DEMANDS that you rise above basic human nature and grab a bit of that thing that's going around....AMBITION. What's disheartening is when one is searching for ABL or BTL talent and look at the Stage 32'ers activity. A large percentage of people you look at haven't checked in for YEARS! Huh? Why even take up space and waste people's time here?
This is a nice post, Joe. I've been around a while, but things moved quickly for me when I joined this amazing site. Even if I just need a pick me up, I log in. The people who do participate are second to none.
Yes Joe, participation is the key to success (in any endeavor) and I'm constantly amazed by how few realize this. Filmmaking requires personal connections, Hollywood operates exclusively that way - no one is ever hired off a resume there. So many seem to believe that hiding behind a keyboard works. It doesn't! You gotta get out there, belly up to the bar and glad-hand your way through the crowd. Participate or die.
Vitaly, David Huff sounds like another "financier" upfront fee guy.
If you haven't read the terms, pro-active outreach to any industry personell listed on the site selling webinars or their time to hear a pitch is actively discouraged and in most cases will get you banned from the site.
Unfortunately those are the people you would want to actually reach out to and network with to assist in development and distribution, crewing up shows or acquiring representation. But they aren't Stage32 members. They're partners. The members are mostly people just starting out. I think once people realize that the only people who could actually help them, really just want their money, they kind of drift away and stop participating.
An Instructor introduced me to this site and I have been slow to get going, but find that there is a lot of useful information. The networking capability for a new film maker is extremely open and I love it.

Evidently, once was not enough.
