I had a busy end to 2017 and a rough start to 2018. As a result, I have neglected my writing. So as a challenge, I am offering up to six people in this group $25 each if I DON’T DELIVER a first draft script to you by March 5th, 2018. I have a finished (registered) treatment for a screenplay that I have not started for which I will write a full length feature script. I will choose the people from those that respond and send them the treatment as my commitment to this challenge. Should I deliver this 87+ page dramedy within the agreed upon timeframe, all I ask is that you read it and give me some useful feedback. I will keep the details and progress of this challenge public so that everyone in this group can shame and humiliate me (and ensure payment) should I fail to deliver. Considering my record with deadlines, who’s up for making an easy twenty-five bucks?

Who says, it's not written all ready?

Hi Robert, I’m in. Even if it’s already written, in fact even better so the draft you send me in a month is more polished :)

LOL - This is not a scam - it's incentive. I have nothing to gain but finishing a script in 30 days; and that would be a BIG win. Full discloser: I started writing last night - I'm got to page 9 today, that in itself is a huge thing! I will post the logline and treatment on my profile. Thank you all for keeping me real!
I'm in!
I'd do it but I'm not a comedy or drama writer. Tell me when you have an action or sci-fi screenplay challenge.

Laura Scheiner - I only pay the $25 if I DON'T deliver the script. But since I have at least 10 people now, I'm on the hook for $250. As far as getting feedback in a "far from equitable" manor, I have gotten feedback for many of my scripts every time I have ask for it here and in other screenwriter groups. And I have, of course, read and given feedback to many who have asked for it. You see Laura, that is what these groups are about, supporting and helping each other.

I personally like Robert's idea. In promising to give six people $25 a piece if he doesn't finish the script before deadline, he's giving himself that extra push to finish through the possibility of losing $150. Even if he doesn't finish before deadline, I'm interested in seeing what the final product looks like after a month. Robert, I like your idea.
I have contacted 8 people who have accepted my challenge, 4 here and 4 in a screenwriting group on Facebook, putting me at risk for $200 should I fail to deliver. I posted this challenge on Saturday, when all I had was a treatment. I am up to page 25 on the script as of this comment! Pages 25-60 are where my writing always gets bogged down. But I'm sure, with all the support I have received and the looming possibility of a $200 loss, I will prevail!
If anyone wants to have a look at the logline and synopsis it is posted at http://rprose.com/screenplays/saddling-up/
For the full treatment, PM me.
I must be a really cheap bastard because I've only missed one day of writing since I posted this challenge. Seems not even an Oscar can motivate me like losing 200 bucks! On page 29.
I'm sure everyone is dying with anticipation, waiting to know how I'm doing on the script. LOL
No car wreck here. The writing is going great. I have written almost everyday of this challenge. I am now on page 60. I think the first draft will be over a hundred pages, but I'm pretty confident I can finish by March 5th. Thank you all for your support and encouragement!
UPDATE: It’s March 5th and I have delivered a copy of my screenplay, as per this challenge, to 8 people between this lounge and the Screenwriting group on FB. I am having trouble with the title. I no longer like the original title “Saddling Up” and have changed it to the working title “A World Away” Thank you all so much for your support in this challenge. It really help me push through to my goal!
