1st Table Read

I'm having a table read of my 1st screenplay "At Whit's Inn".(romcom) There will be 7-8 readers. I will not be a reader. Do you have any tips, do, don',t or suggestions for me? How many breaks should we take? Thanks for you help.

Alan B. Cox

Thanks Laura. I plan to give them scripts 10 days earlier. I will provide food and beverage. SYMBOLS are a great idea. I hope they will be honest.

Would a 10 question anonymous survey be in order? This may help with the honestly issue as well.

Constance York

Bring snacks for everyone for before and after. We didn't take any breaks. I would think it would break the flow.

Try to keep everyone "on point" and sound-record it.

Tell everyone it's being (sound) recorded.

Make sure all are cool with that.

Let everyone read it and be comfortable with it a few days before.

If they have questions, let them ask then (and after).

If they are reading from their laptop make sure there's power for everyone...

Bring a big surge protector to your room if not enough power.

If reading from hardcopy ask them for margin notes.

This is your BIG feedback moment -- These are the things I did -
