Coming down from a natural high after Chairing our 4th Annual SWAN Day Houston 2018. SWAN Day was created by Womenarts.org to recognize, encourage and support female creatives. We packed as much as possible into a three hour program including an excerpt from the Ballet SWAN Lake performed by the Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre. Artist, Ted Ellis; Sculptor, Suzanne Shield-Polk; Photographer, Cinnamon Auld and the alluring Tea Mistress, Amanda Vermillon. Along with the musical styling of Winona Wilde and her award winning composition, "Chick Singer." We had a power packed panel of twelve members from the arts community covering film, literature, production, directing, photography, dance and theatre.
I am excited to take SWAN Day to the next level by having quarterly events designed to promote the female creative. Don't get me wrong, we love our male creatives too!
