Introduce Yourself : Screenwriter/Director/Video Editor/Other by Ross H. Martin

How do you describe success? I moved out here in 1992. It was a 5 year plan to make it in the film industry. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I find myself asking the same question, where do I see myself in 5 years? I attended film school. I produced, wrote, directed and edited short films. Some on 16mm. I produced an independent feature film that I also co-wrote and co-directed. It was never picked up. I got into editing. I edited "War of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave" for The Asylum. I've also run film festivals. I was involved in the first year of Screamfest Horror Film Festival. I eventually founded Social Media Film Festival in Las Vegas in 2012. It didn't take off. I've been working at a post production facility for over 3 years. I'm not editing or anyone's assistant. Just working in the film vault at Fotokem. Although I've never seen real money and have no savings, I'm still able to pursue the film industry. I still have the passion to write and re-write screenplays on the side, because nothing else interests me. So, success for me is survival. Someday...$$$.
