Introduce Yourself : Nick Lilly by Nicholes Lilly

Nick Lilly

Good evening everyone here on Stage32. I am eager and excited about my decision to follow my aspirations! I am from San Bernardino Ca. My name is Nicholes Lilly and I am a working Actor! Now I just started my Acting career a little over 2 months ago! I’ve done local TV and School productions but looking for that Role that will finally jump start my Career! I am the youngest of seven. The only one to graduate High school and go on to College! I also serve in the Military. While studying Theater in High School & College I knew I had a natural talent for being on stage! In front of an audience. But, for a long time I allowed my upbringing to discourage any dreams of being an actor. No more! I know this is what I am suppose to be doing! And since I started my Journey even though I haven’t booked that first audition. I know I am focus and ready! All I need is that one opportunity! Hence, here I am! I look forward to the conversations, and networking with everyone . Live long and Prosper

Hi Nicholes. Well done. No real way to say it otherwise. You found your dream and you are going after it. So many do not. My sage advice; embrace "No." You will hear that a lot. I mean, a lot. Never take it as a negative. Every No is a learning experience. It will have information you can use to get better at your craft, fix the simple mistakes we all make as we start out, and every No will help you grow. There might be another dozen of them. Or a hundred. Or a thousand. No is just a word. A decision that almost has nothing to do with you yourself, but because of the business requirements surrounding that opportunity. Keep pushing. Keep learning. Keep auditioning. Take every word in response to heart, sift through them and find the ones that are helpful to making you better, and discard the rest. Never take it personally. If you do, you'll be done. The odds of success don't matter. Relentlessly chasing your dream, your passion and ambition, those are the things that matter. Stay strong, and stay receptive. If you ever find yourself in doubt, look at it this way; by your own story you have grown and fought past your history, your roadblocks, and you are stumbling along the paved stone path that leads to your dream. Thousands upon thousands never get as far as you have. Relish your victory, your place in your journey, and never take No as a negative.

James thank you very Much! And I know all to well about the importance of Consistency! Denzel Washington talks about it a lot when motivating aspiring actors! I have been Told “No” all my Life! I had to become completely comfortable and happy with myself before anything! That’s where it had to start with me before I started my Journey! Becoming Mentally & emotionally prepared . Becoming mature enough to deal with the success im certain is coming my Way! All praise go to the most High! I just want to Act & provide for my Community! That’s my mission !

James Drago

Go for it! And keep going!
