I personally chose to work one-on-one with an optioned screenwriter. I did this for two years. For me, it gave me the opportunity to dig in and ask questions that couldn't be answered with coverage or an online course. My scripts improved immensely.
Same here, Jolene. I leaned on my employed-writer-friend and asked anything and everything. Coming from real time TV-land, he was full of the best info and input.

Get into a Screenwriting group, and get feedback from them, and from professionals.
I would probably say writing a lot of screenplays.
