Hey y'all! As a family man and self employed writer, I'm finding my time more and more difficult to manage, so I think I'm going to have to reduce the amount of time I spend watching movies in order to increase the time spent writing them.
What's your weekly movie intake look like?

Weekly I am going to say one maybe none. As I come home from working my 9-5 job and do a few errands, I immediately start writing. So it’s like I don’t even have time to watch movies anymore.

When MoviePass wasn’t bankrupt, I’d see 2-3 new movies a week.
I also have Netflix, ITunes, Vudu accounts. There’s always something to watch.

Philip Singh I try to watch television/movies regularly, but with life running wild, I think I'm going to have to cut back big time so I can actually get things done. Trying to prioritize one's life is quite tricky.
First runs - My wife & I go to maybe 2-3 / weekend.
Netflix/Amazon about 5 / week.
I usually watch while I'm writing - not a good idea, but IMHO good movies inspire good writing.
Michael Cantrell yeah I hear you there. I use to watch tv shows and movies a lot but I realized that I need to start writing more and more. So I decided that I had to cut myself off a bit. I mean I still watch a show on Netflix or a movie in theaters I really want to see still. You can use your film and tv show watching to your advantage too. I’ve always looked up the script of a film or tv show and I would follow along with the film and the script. You may learn other crafts and techniques. I sure have.

Philip Singh That's a really cool idea, watching the film and following along with the script. I'm going to try that!
