I am facing a dilemma, we finished a Documentary with a huge Niche audience and I am not sure other to go with distribber... for domestic and sell of my international rights... or just sell it all off.

Some distributors, real distributors, will give an advance. They Michael Moore and Dinesh D'Souza don't pay distributors, and the don't go self-distributed either. They "take 50%", well, my boss at director Enquiries "took" over 90%, but then I didn't have to market my stuff, find customers, and all that. Think about it, all the pros go with distributors, unless you have some weird niche that's even more controversial than the political directors I named!
Could you say who the sales agent is? I am all for that approach. I think it’s great for the filmmaker to assist in the marketing but not handle the marketing
hi Micheal you can send me your documentry sceerner (previews) and other useful information about if it's passes what I'm looking for then we can have a deal for distribution kindly send to my email : destinationsflag@yahoo.com you can chat me up too on whatapp +2348069722687

Hey, thanks for the advice. We do actually have a good niche . Possible bigger than politics... but reaching an audience is hard.

Hey Michael. You could try filmhub.com. To me, they are a better alternative to DIstribber
Hey Michael, just wondering which route you decided to take? We're on the same boat. Thanks!

Elaine, I got a sales agent to take the documentary. and I am quite happy with him.
That's great to hear! Would you mind filling me in how to go about that process and anything you learned along the way?
