Then you're not using this platform.
I have had some incredible conversations with so many of you.
I have found work because of it.
I have made new friends, invited more friends to play here, and gushed about this platform here and to others BECAUSE of the success and connections.
Why wouldn't I tell the world about it?
You GUYS...this platform is part of the future of filmmaking, writing, directing, acting, and everything in between.
So don't lurk in dark corners. Don't be vague. Don't get upset when things don't unfold because you only reached out once. Or blogged once. Or talked to someone once. KEEP GOING.
Decide, like I did, to take control. With integrity, humility, and good intentions, take control.
And I'll see you on set.

Yeah your right @Joleene. RB got out a diamond tipped drill when he did groundwork for this site. Im very skeptical of internet as a whole, and prefer personal contact, but its virtually impossible to do this in large Geographical boundaries so I tried Stage 32. Ive met ten in person and made a number of “Serious” networkers here.

Couldn't agree more, Joleene! Stage 32 is the hub for film and tv creators. Show up and put in the work, I say. :)

I think of this place as a way of taking the pulse of the writing community. What is concerning people as well as interesting things to discuss.
If you really want to concrete your own knowledge and discover gaps. Trying helping others. This shows you want you don’t know. This is what I get from this.
Plus calming the fears and dispelling the untruths new writers get told.

I know I may not be as active as everyone else but this is HOME. This is the place where I start and finish my day, everyday. I am trying add some dimensions and clarity work, which means lots of silence from my corner for now. But this is site is my anchor, don't mind me while I spin in circles.

Joleene, I'm glad I stumbled onto Stage 32. Because of this site, I've learned a whole lot more about screenwriting these last six-going-on-seven months than in the previous 38 years.
Even entered one of my revised scripts in a contest (Script Lab's free one) and I'm looking forward to pitching through Stage 32...hopefully next month.

So true, Joleene. I have been on Stage32 for some time now, but I have only really been making a concerted effort these past months. I made a decision to get off of Facebook (for a number of reasons including people, politics, people, and politics) and to make more effort towards connecting through forums like Stage32 where I can be amongst like-minded creatives. I thank everyone who has hit me up so far and responded with nothing but kindness and generosity. There’s plenty of people in the industry out there who might not be so altruistic, but they’re not in here, thankfully!
