New documentary project!

Hello all at Stage 32!

I first heard about this site from an interview the founder Richard Botto gave on the IndieFilmHustle podcast. For those doing indie film, Indie Film Hustle is a must! Fantastic content about all the facets of filmmaking.

I am producing a documentary entitled "Concert on the Common". It's a history of New England band concerts. These concerts in bandstands across New England towns is a tradition stretching back over a 100 years. My town of Ashby, MA will be the first I profile along with Townsend, MA. The band members are totally on board with the idea and are excited to be interviewed and have their passion documented. Many have been doing this for 30+ years and have generations of family members who have played in the town band.

It's an exciting project that will explore the history of the towns, the bands, musicians and what it means to the people who come to listen.

In the near future, I'll be planning out the summer production and will be needing the services of a good sound engineer. Since this is a documentary about music, I'll want to have some really great audio when it comes time to film the actual concerts.

Thanks for reading and Love having Stage32 as such a great resource!
