Let's. Make. MOVIES! (... or TELEVISION!)

Hello, Stage 32 community!

My name is Jerrod, and I'm a screenwriter that's dedicated to consistently solid work ethic and productivity.  In the past, some of my work was distributed by Full Moon Entertainment, and most recently, I was a finalist in The Stage 32 and National Lampoon Search for Comedy Gold script competition.  I'm currently writing a 1-location horror film with limited cast and effects, which is more challenging than I thought it would be, but every film I've written has been out of my comfort zone and brought me new learnings and growth, so I'm definitely not deterred by the challenge.

I am always interested in connecting with other artists, whether visual, musical, or other, and I'm looking forward to networking and trading ideas with everyone I encounter.  I was fortunate enough to attend a Stage 32 function in October (at the Austin Film Festival), where I met RB (Richard "RB" Botto ), who inspired me to keep meeting other creators and see who else -- and what else -- is out there.  After all, we all want the same thing, right?  A puzzle is made up of various pieces, and I'm just a guy looking for other pieces interested in putting a complete picture together with me.

Cheers, filmmaking fam.  I look forward to making your acquaintances and seeing your art!   :-)

Awesome to see you here, Jerrod. Congratulations on all your success and seizing the opportunity to get yourself out there and make those connections that matter.

Thank you RB and Pamela! :-) What are you working on this weekend? Any goals for the week?

John Guinn

Hello Jerrod, keep up the good work, you will be ok.

Pamela, I'm in almost the same boat. I just finished my Act III, and now I get to edit and rewrite. Damn having a day job -- I don't want to wait till the weekend. >_<

That sounds like an inconvenient, though somewhat exciting adventure! And that's an awesome thing you do for the neighbors. And it sounds like the perfect opportunity to get some writing done, as long as the electricity holds up.

The day job definitely pays for my frappuccino, but I miss my part-time overnight security job. It didn't pay squat, but gave me hours and hours to edit and rewrite. :-/ My current one pays well, but leaves me so mentally drained that I don't have the time or creative juices flowing until Saturday at the soonest.
