Keep writing.

What are you doing to keep up the writing continuity? I like to write shorts, 2 - 8 pages.

Tony Ray

I try to have a couple projects in the air. That way, I can touch one if I get stuck on another. James Cameron did something similar in the 80's, where he was working on "The Terminator" on one desk, "Aliens" on a 2nd desk, and finishing "Rambo: First Blood Part II" on a 3rd. And when I feel a little burned out, I read about screenwriting and other tips to forward my brain into the business.

I don’t concentrate on content. Used to obsess about pages a day.

Now I make notes in my phone or iPad as often as possible then block out a few hours. I find all the wasted time happens on the phone. When I login into WD I am hitting the ground running.

Notes, ideas, plot lines, character explorations, scene ideas, emotion injections - all on a full legal pad. Then I'm ready to sit and write.

Pencil and notebook. I never get out of the apartment without these two things. Who knows what can happen. I find friends, I see strange people, I watch them, I listen to them, how they laugh, how they talk, how they react on certain occasions ... inspiration is at every step. When you put all that in front of empty paper, you only need imagination. Only one touching moment can be a wonderful story.

I'm always juggling multiple projects. So even if I don't gravitate to one at a specific time I pour into the other. If I'm not writing I read scripts to improve and fine tune my writing and keep the creativity developing. Concepts that pop into my head whether while thinking or something that sparks a fire during everyday life, I take note of on my phone
