Does anyone know if when using Final Draft, you can open up one screenplay and then open another to sit them side by side. I'm looking to be able to view one draft whilst rewriting the next and I can not see a way in which to carry out that task. I really don't want to print out a draft to reference. Any ideas is it's possible and how to carry out the task? TIA

Open one of them and then the other. At this point you may only see one of the two. Click the Restore Down icon at the upper right to render both scripts in their own separate. resizable, movable windows.

Yes, you can open more than one at a time. Just click on "File" in FD, then click on "open recent" to find the second script.
excellent thank you both.

There's a Script Compare feature, if that's what you're seeking Karen Stark

If you have multiple monitors:

Basially FD 11 has more stuff you don't need Kay Luke
Just the one monitor but thankfully with help figured it out. Tech isn't my strong point Tony S.
Kay. My co-writer said the same thing as well and she has been in this business since she was 12 years old.

I have a lap top that that has a duplicate copy of FD on it. I can set it right on my desk next to my computer monitor. That gives me a complete view of one script as I work on another - it also allows me to display downloaded scripts of commercially produced films while working on my own stuff.
