Screenwriting : M.a.d. by David Tenenbaum

David Tenenbaum

M.a.d.

We've written a re-jig of Dr  Strangelove called M.A.D. (Mutually Assured Destruction). We got a "worth considering" grade from SYS. We blasted it out and didn't get a single request. Everyone who's looked at it says it reads like an extended SNL skit. We hired a consultant should who said we should try to get the folks at SNL to do a podcast. No agent, no dice. What do you do with a 100% timely script that's too over the top for contests or reps but too good to give up on?

Stephen Floyd

Produce it yourself. Maybe not the whole thing, but enough to show proof of concept. Throw that on youtube. Ample hits will bolster your sales pitch.

Dan MaxXx

Contests and Reps don’t want fan fiction scripts. SNL doesn’t either.

Chris Todd

Organize and film/record a table read. Put it online and generate some buzz.
