Hi
This morning I watched an engaging interview with three actors from The Sopranos who are currently in Australia on a speaking tour.
One of them said that as soon as he started reading the script for the pilot episode, it was such good writing that he knew he had to be part of it.
That made me wonder what good writing means to other actors. Anyone?

When you look at a script and can see the communication between characters, the story arc, the relationships not only are real, and make sense, they would be a joy to delve into further and create a character. Just my idea.

BREAKING THE RULES. WHEN PAIN MEETS PASSION.
When pain meets passion - that's powerful. Passion melts the pain away. I love that thought.
I did a 12 month acting course in the 90s partly because I needed an outlet from relentlessly long hours in tv gestapo land.
I found a drama course run by a couple of talented theatre guys and connected with a wonderful group of creative spirits who felt like family in an instant. We had so much fun and staged three public performances which were well received.
That humble drama course grew into one of Sydney's leading theatres - Darlinghurst Theatre Company. I love that story. Feels like a dream. I saw a play in their beautiful Eternity Playhouse and fell in love with theatre all over again. Funny how life goes.
When the script sounds like actual, real people.
