Hi I'm Daniel, I'm a writer/producer and co-founder of UK indie film production company Seraphim Pictures, based in Cardiff, South Wales. When I'm not working on our in-house productions I freelance on other people's as co-producer, line producer or PMD depending on the need. Currently just coming off my first indie feature "Expiry", a co-production between Seraphim Pictures and TG Films which is now complete and looking for a distributor. Also freelancing on the short film "Spoonbills" which will be filming in Annecy, France in September. After that is the short web-series "The Card Room Chronicles" based up in Manchester, England which I'll be doing some marketing work for.
Long-term the plan is to expand to the States by opening an office in Los Angeles. We've already sourced an office space, but there's a myriad other things to consider before making the jump. Finance is one issue, work is another, visas are a third, and international politics is a big one. And that's before considering the different market tastes and trends between the UK, Europe and the USA.
Current in-house projects are the short drama "Veteran's Visit" to be filmed on the Mediterranean island of Malta, the feature-length documentary "I Am Dracula" to be filmed in Romania, and the UK Short Film Showcase, which we're planning to hold at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
Sad to say I'm not on Stage32 as much as I should be. There are only so many hours in the day. But I do try and get back to people who message me on here eventually. Give me a shout if anything I've said sounds interesting, or if you're looking for a co-producer, line producer or PMD that you have a little money to spend on!
