It seems that most people do the bulk of their script writing on the computer these days. Do you sit down and type out your first draft on your chosen software?
Personally, everything starts on paper for me. I get a better flow and connection with the story by writing the synopsis and first draft by hand in a notebook before typing it up. This has the added advantage of completing my second draft fairly quickly as I edit things as needed from what I wrote by hand to what gets typed into the computer. The downside is I've got a lot of notebooks piled up from completed and in progress works.

PC for me. I have terrible handwriting.
PC all the way lol I only write on pen and paper when I'm away from my Laptop and an idea hits or I get some time to get some writing in. I always have a book, or even my phone in those instances. But, Celtx is my buddy when writing.

I use both ways. I write the idea down on paper by hand. Then I use the computer type it out. Then I print it highlight it and then use my PC to retype it.

All prewriting (concept, structure, character, outlining, research, etc...) is done in a cheap, black, 1 subject, college ruled, spiral notebook, with a black #2 Ticonderoga pencil. For me, it seriously cannot be done any other way with anything else. haha
All screenwriting (1st draft and rewrites) is done in Final Draft. I just can't get into writing a script on a legal pad or whatever. I need to SEE a script page as I'm writing it.

I write the entire film in somewhat rough form on the yellow note pads usually 3 per film then when I go to enter it into Final draft, I just reference the subject and can easily change things around for the best flow.

Nathan, I type out a combination outline/scene list on a Windows PC, then the script itself on my Power Mac. (The Mac's got Final Draft 6.)
With the Windows PC, I can use any font I want to; the outline/scene list is for my own use. (When it's time to send something to a producer or agent or some other gatekeeper, I use the same font that Final Draft 6 employs: Courier New.)

I do most of my "writing" on the computer BUT I love to THINK on paper. I handwrite journals, use color coded 3" x 5" cards, plan plot graphs on a white board. The change of state mixes things up and makes you look at things differently.
